Gray Reed Advisory Services, a business consulting firm and subsidiary of Gray Reed, has brought on renowned public relations consultant Marc Rylander to lead the expansion of its strategic communications advisory services division titled GRPR. GRPR provides impactful communication strategies spanning across the public relations and government relations arenas including win/loss communication tactics, managing crisis situations, reputation management and navigating through intricate regulatory shifts. In his role as Chief Communications Officer, Rylander guides clients with communications strategies, crisis communications implementation, communications policy development, and media relations and training.

With more than 25 years advising numerous government, public education, nonprofit and corporate clients, Rylander is a seasoned advisor known for spearheading high-impact PR strategies that protect reputations and shape dialogues. Before joining Gray Reed Advisory, he served as Director of Communications and Senior Advisor for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas.

Rylander holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications (broadcast journalism) from Baylor University and has three master’s degrees. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Houston Christian University, where he was Chairman of the Board in 2018-2019, and serves as President of the Board of the Celina Education Foundation in Celina, Texas.
